Sensu sky...

My good friends Teresa and Hal gave me a Sensu brush stylus for iPad drawing... Wow, it gives much more subtle nuances for drawing, like a real brush, don't ask me how, but I am looking forward to more subtle sky interpretations , thank you! Here is the first go.

Bright holiday morning

What a great morning... The start of the holidays and family arrive today, yippee! Off to bake mince pies.

Winter still moving through

The cool greys turn to warm greys...

No sun rise this morning, just the heavy winter sky changing its hues in oh so subtle ways.

Fast moving silence

This morning, using the new square format in SketchBook Pro.... But had to be fast as it changed quickly.
I have the urge to print some of these BIGGER!

Anticipations and expectations

I woke to see a potentially amazing sunrise... Plenty of Altocumulus to make it exciting.
But of course, expectations in any form through life can (maybe always?) lead to disappointment, this I am learning. Although a sky is never disappointing, (too strong a word!) it was a much subtler one, as I believe, there was low band of very dense cloud which prevented the light to shine up and into the higher Altocumulus.

So instead a quieter, more subtle sunrise unfolded. But that has given me more thoughts on large abstract forms....

Privy to such wonder....

The West Temple was lost under a dense mattress of cloud and the sun 'struggled' in all its glory to the right and painted the mattress in gold. I was concentrating on the fast changes to the right when I notice we no longer could see the West Temple.

Pauline's morning sky...

My dear friend's early morning call enabled me to witness another fine sunrise, but the density of the cloud made it a short one.

Another post full moon sunrise...

One just can't keep up with it, today it is on fire...

And yes it was officially the full moon last night, but both nights were soooo beautiful that you miss that it is not a full circle!

Also still needing to put time in with more play on the drawing apps with this iPad. The skies move fast out here and there is no time to mess with the apps!

Post full moon sunrise, serenaded by coyotes

The sky kept changing rapidly, really did not feel that I got it. But good to draw again after a while. Having been busy with the local arts & crafts fair on the weekend.

SketchBook Pro, updated recently and my settings have gone awry, so I really have to spend some time with drawing!

New App...

Just purchased new App, recommended last week: ArtRage, very painterly quality, you can do oil, water colour, wet into wet and blend. The files are much bigger, so storage may end up being an issue, this was a first attempt! But it is great to play with and no mess or smell!

Beautiful skies drawn as a passenger, with Lisa Zumpft, on our way back from Kanab and the day of the Business of Art.

Thank you to Kathy Cieslewicz and her team, all the presenters and the volunteers, it was a great 24 hours!
