Sunrise through Altocumulus

Looking east from Virgin, UT, 7.15 am, July 27th 2012.

Could not resist the skies this morning and had to post. Though so early, could not find stylus, so finger work!

I have been concentrating on the work for the Dixie Forest show, so my skies have been neglected. We have had many a beauty this last week with the seasonal monsoon build up, but only so much energy!

Monsoon showers - Day 3

To the South 7 am.

To the East 7.30am

A couple of flash flood warnings (until Sunday evening) and we have had a localised inch or two. But all is good. It will help the burnt areas to sodden down. But, of course with rain can come lightening and more potential bush fires. But will maintain a watchful eye.

It is all beautiful.

Escaping the heat

Clouds remembered on our way down from Dry Lakes Road on the way down the mountain to Summit.

Building storm clouds from the camp site at Yankee Meadows.

Tumbling water in the Bowery Creek.

Glamping in our AirStream up in Dixie Forest, east of Parowan. With good friends the Wrankle family and then visiting with Sue Cotter and Spike Reis in Parowan. Got out of the heat, chilled with fine wine and beer and finally got some ideas cooking to get creative. Life is sweet.

Although Steve hurt his hand and cracked his head on the way back did a fantastic job in helping me get my ideas under way, thank you!

I am using the super pink walker in the rough nature terrain to give me sturdiness and the confidence I lack, it was good to be back in nature.

I love Summer mornings

Today at 6 am.

Last night at pm.

With the huge help of Bonnie I am getting my studio in order, nearly there today I hope, but I did have to take a little time to draw, the skies are just gorgeous and keep promising rain... But it has yet to happen.

In the mean time I am watching those skies and breathing.

Smokey luminescent

With the wild fires around, both near and far, the day is strangely luminescent and beautiful because of the smoke particles in the atmosphere... Beauty and the eye.
