As we left Southern Utah for our trip back to the UK the winterized cottonwoods, whose skeletal heart shaped profiles against the blue skies were budding golden green. I am sure they will be fully leaved by the time we return.

Toquerville blooms
Passing through Toquerville today the deep magenta of the flowering pear trees and white blossoms of the ( not quite sure!) were a sight to be seen.

Rosemary blue
A quiet Sunday afternoon, with the newly sprung blossom of the rosemary bush and the omnipresent tones of a Stratocumulus cloud filled sky.

Peach blossom
Spring has sprung all around and the peach trees are looking good. Not ours mind as we have none, but at good friends whose orchards and yards are where things are pumping.
The peach blossom is against a cirrostratus sky with criss-crossing contrails carrying the weekend travelers.

Winter again
Snow fluttering on and off, then rain and wind, or all three together. As today is proof, nothing is ever settled in the month March!
Light rays
Driving across the Mojave Desert on the old Las Vegas road to visit friends in Mesquite. The skies were pre-empting rain storms producing beautiful patches of light rays in the distance.
It rained much needed rain all night, and has showered and snowed several times today. But the winds are not helping Steve get tarps over the addition for protection of any leaks... I am sorry that I am no help!

Soaring trio
Three eagles joined our view, soaring on the returning winter winds and skies. Oh! to watch them dance.

Flight between
At Ari's first tea party two days ago, we were hoping for the Blue Angels to fly by, over Zion...but not to be , in Virgin anyhow. Though they did fly over Springdale but very briefly and not much ceremony. We have heard more sonic booms today, which indicates they are still playing 'war games' above.
Between the CIRRUS INTORTUS (tangled cirrus) clouds a regular jet flew leaving a short and icy straight line. The week continued warmer than average temperatures during the day and the sky has been playful.

Tawavi'a
Tawavi'a: Hopi for opaque image of sun visible through intervening clouds. It should have an accent on the second 'a', but could not find out how to do that with the access to the keyboards I have, to look up when I have more time. But it is that kind of day, but definitely the sun is busting to clear those clouds and another fine spring day is emerging, warming up slowly. Off to stretch my body in the pool and try out PT in the water for a change.

Planet update
I believe the two bright ones west are Venus and Jupiter. Mars comes up in the East. Having on the net for the info earlier, I finally find the correct stuff on Facebook... Hey Ho.
Full moon rising
This was our most amazing view of the full moon a few days ago, as it rose over and past the West Temple (to the left) and moving and rising so fast that drawing it would have missed the event, Steve finally captured this with his SLR camera, we are very lucky. I also love the planet activity at the moment, even with the full moonlight they are shining like beams awaiting to land, Venus and Mars I believe, totally out shining any other celestial beings.

An extensive sheet of cirrostratus fibratus
Despite the raging winds of the last few days, Steve, with the help of Mike and co. got the windows put in the new addition on our house, certainly is now cozier for Steve to work in. To go: Finished electrics, sheet rock, insulation, plaster, paint and outside metalwork. Then we shall have more great space to play.
The skies blew in beautifully like layered gossamer and cleared to straight blue by sundown.

Winds of many layers
The winds are still storming through Virgin, a slight change of direction every so often. It blew all night, blowing skies through, obscuring the moon rise and the stars. Small rain clouds come through, but leave no trace of their presence.
Leg is aching a little today... My very own weather barometer maybe.

Blooms ahead of the weather
The fading local narcissi have come and already losing their glory. The winter skies return for another round, such is March.
My physical therapist and I are working together to get me walking better and with a cane, instead of the walker. That would be great as life can get even lighter. Jackie is working my body, now from waist down to enhance all motion that is upright and moving forward, as best as life can be!
